Clannad is set in Hikarizaka High School, in a small town in Japan. Okazaki Tomoya is a lazy and careless third-year student. He often goes to school late, neglects his studies, and doesn';t pay much attention, while his friends are focused on preparing for exams. Naturally, he doesn';t have many close friends.
His life continues like this every day until he meets a girl named Furukawa Nagisa, who is also lonely at school because all her friends have graduated. Initially, he thought she was clumsy. But Tomoya doesn';t ignore Nagisa; instead, he helps her reestablish the Drama Club, and they meet other girls in the school.
Although he initially joined just for fun, through their friendship, Tomoya starts to get along with everyone. CLANNAD revolves around the daily lives of the main characters: Okazaki Tomoya, Furukawa Nagisa, Ibuki Fuko, Ichinose Kotomi, Sakagami Tomoyo, Sunohara Youhei, the twin sisters Fujibayashi Kyou and Ryou...
